Hello!
Photography started out as a hobby for me when I was a little girl and grew into a passion for creating art through the lens of my camera. As I was finishing my college degree and starting my business (at that time, I just took pictures of family and friends for free), I really didn't know where it would take me. And I especially never envisioned becoming a husband/wife team, but here we are! While I was in college and enjoying my single life, I reconnected with a distant friend of mine from my younger teenage years, and that led us to where we are today.
I am extremely blessed to have found a man who shares the same passion as I do, and I decided since we were getting hitched, I might as well add him onto my business! :) Originally LifeBlood Photography, we decided we needed a new name for our business together, and Gunther Photos was born.
My name is Crystal Gunther, and I and my husband, Ian Gunther, are portrait and small event photographers offering a wide range of services. Our main focus is on-location portraits and events, including senior photos, weddings and engagements, and family sessions. We also offer nature prints and some commercial photography.
I currently hold an Associate's Degree in Visual Communications, Photography major from Ivy Tech Community College, but photography fascinates me, and I am always hungry to learn as much as possible. In addition to shooting portraits, I am an avid nature lover, and love to photograph landscapes and macro shots. Some of my personal nature/artistic shots are even available as prints to purchase. (We're in the process of creating an e-store, but in the meantime, they're on here and Facebook!)
Ian is new to Gunther Photos and is still learning the ins-and-outs of professional photography, but he loves photographing nature up-close as well. On the side, we both have similar tastes. But number one: our cameras are always attached to our hips, as we enjoy taking photos of almost anything!
